Chris White

Chris was elected to Hertfordshire County Council to represent central St Albans in 1993. He was Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group from 1994 to 2003, resuming the leadership in 2005. He was Deputy Leader of the Council and has also been a member of the Hertfordshire Police Authority. Since 1998 Chris has been Leader of the Liberal Democrats of the East of England Regional Assembly. He chairs the LGA's Culture, Tourism and Sport Board and is a member of the Nations and Regions Group of London 2012. He is a member of the Board of Living East, the regional cultural consortium for the East of England. He is a member of the Board of the Audit Commission.

Allan Witherick

Cllr Allan Witherick represents St Albans North and was elected in2005, taking the seat from Labour to become the youngest countycouncillor at the age of 26. Currently he deals with issues asdiverse as Adult Care Services, the Childrens Trust Partnership Boardand Health. Using his experience as a professional in the field he isone of the two Liberal Democrat members on Hertfordshire PoliceAuthority.He is also active at national level as Deputy Chairman on the LGASafer Communities Board and is one of just sixteen Liberal Democratson the Leadership Centre Next Generation programme for future leaders.Outside of politics he sits at a senior level on UNISON bodies and hasbeen made a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
